About the RJC

Board of Directors

Mr. Altman is a partner in Whiteford Taylor Preston LLP’s Washington, DC office, where he specializes in representing trade associations, foundations, professional membership societies, and other nonprofit organizations, and also heads up the firm’s Political Law Compliance practice group.

Mr. Altman received his J.D. in 1974 from Tulane University, where he was associate editor of the Tulane Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He is a member of the DC Bar and is authorized to practice before a variety of federal courts and agencies.

Isaac Applbaum is a Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Jerusalem for Public Private Partnerships and a venture capitalist with over 20 years experience in investing in early stage technology companies. He is a Founding General Partner of Opus Capital, an early stage venture fund with over $500mm under management, as well as an Advisor to SecureKey Technologies and to the Westly Group, a leading Clean Energy Venture Fund in Silicon Valley. Prior to Co-Founding Opus Capital, Isaac was a Partner and Managing Director for Israel at Lightspeed Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm with over two billion dollars under management.

Mr. Applbaum was the founder and CEO of Concorde Solutions Inc. (CSI) which he sold to Bank of America in 1998, becoming a Senior Vice President of the bank with responsibility for running the E-ventures group and an advisor to the strategic investments group.

Mr. Applbaum remains active in his community, currently serving as President of the Board of the California-Israel Chamber of Commerce. He sits on the Board of Directors of The Western Wall Heritage Foundation. The Koret Israel Economic Development Funds, the Shalem Institute, and the American Action Network. Mr. Applbaum is a member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Ronald Bloom is an executive at Crown Realty, a leading commercial real estate development company. He is active in California GOP politics.

Matthew Brooks serves as Chief Executive Officer of both the Republican Jewish Coalition, an organization dedicated to enhancing ties between the Jewish community and the Republican Party, and the Jewish Policy Center, a think-tank that examines public policy from a Jewish perspective.

Matt began his political career as State Chairman of the Massachusetts College Republicans while still an undergraduate at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. Matt managed the Jack Kemp for President campaign in Massachusetts, as well as directed projects in New Hampshire and New England. Matt became the Political Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition in 1988. Taking a leave of absence from the RJC, Matt served as the National Field Director for Victory ‘88 Jewish Campaign Committee, designing and implementing campaign strategy on behalf of the Bush-Quayle ‘88 campaign. Matt was appointed Executive Director of the RJC in 1990.

Matt was twice selected (in 2006 and 2008) by the Jewish Forward as one of the 50 most influential Jews in America.

In addition to his duties leading the RJC, Matt also serves as the organization’s principal spokesman. In this role Matt has been a frequent guest on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and has been quoted extensively in publications such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and other major newspapers. Matt has a B.A. in Political Science from Brandeis University. He received an MBA at Georgetown University in March 1996.
Matt resides in Virginia with his wife, Deborah, and two children.

Norm Coleman served in the U.S. Senate (R-MN) from 2003-2009 and served as mayor of St. Paul, Minnesota from 1993-1998. He is currently of counsel at the law firm of Hogan Lovells.

Mr. Epstein is a partner in BECO Management LLC, which owns and manages over 7 million square feet of commercial office buildings in the metro Washington DC, metro Baltimore, Md., metro Charlotte, NC and metro Chicago, Ill. He is also President and CEO of Willow Asset Management LLC.

He has served as an appointed member of the Board of Trustees of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, appointed by President George W. Bush; of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) which oversees Dulles International and Reagan National Airports, appointed by Maryland Governor Robert Ehrlich; and as a Commissioner on the Maryland Economic Development Commission, appointed by Maryland Governor Robert Ehrlich.

His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC); as Vice-Chairman of the Jewish Policy Center, which advocates conservative political positions and issues to the Jewish community in the United States; as Chairman: National Gaucher Foundation, a non-profit organization which funds research and patient advocacy for Gaucher Disease, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Inst for National Security of America (JINSA) and as General Chairman of the Building Construction and Fundraising Committee of Beth Sholom Congregation in Potomac, MD and of the Melvin J Berman Hebrew Academy in Rockville, MD.

As former White House press secretary, Ari Fleischer was the primary spokesperson for President Bush and delivered the daily White House briefings from 2001 to 2003. He previously served as the senior communications advisor and spokesman for the Bush-Cheney presidential campaign. In his almost four years working for George W. Bush, he served as spokesman during the historic presidential recount, September 11, two wars and the anthrax attack. His best selling book, Taking Heat, details his years in the White House and reached #7 on the New York Times best-seller list.

Fleischer spent 21 years in Washington, where he was the press secretary to two Congressmen, one Senator (Pete Domenici, R-NM) and Communications Director for the House Ways and Means Committee under Chairman Bill Archer (R-TX).

He is now a FOX News contributor and he runs a public relations firm that does media training along with helping sports organizations and corporations to handle the press.

Mr. Forman founded Register.com, a public internet technology company. He was formerly in consumer products manufacturing and distribution as well as in private and public investments. A graduate of Wharton School of Business, he is currently active in the development, management, and leasing of commercial properties in the NYC metropolitan area.

He is the founder of MoveBeyondOil.org (non-partisan, geo-strategic, oil independence), a publicly-elected trustee and Commissioner of Finance for the Village of Sands Point, NY, and founder and Commissioner of the Port Washington-Manhasset Office of Emergency Management, an innovative, public service inter-municipal organization.

He resides in Sands Point/Port Washington, NY with his wife. They have three adult daughters.

Sam Fox, former chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition and retired U.S. ambassador to Belgium, is the founder of Harbour Group, Ltd., a privately-owned company specializing in the acquisition and development of manufacturing companies for long-term investment.

His extensive community and charitable activities include leadership in the St. Louis Art Museum, the St. Louis Area Council Boy Scouts of America, Washington University, BJC Hospital, the Fox Family Foundation, Opera Theater of St. Louis, the St. Louis Science Center, the St. Louis Symphony and the St. Louis Zoo.

He served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Naval Reserves. He and his wife Marilyn are the parents of five children.

Abbie Green Friedman graduated from Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, formerly known as Akiba Hebrew Academy. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from Temple University in 1978 and later earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law (Delaware Law School) in 1981.

Ms. Friedman previously practiced Law at Lionel Sawyer and Collins, Las Vegas Nevada, specializing in corporate and casino/gaming law.  She also served as Of-Counsel to Spector Gadon and Rosen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and as an Associate for Cooper Perkskie April Niedelman and Wagenheim, Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Fox Rothchild LLP, formally Horn Goldberg Gorney and Daniels, Atlantic City, New Jersey. She began her legal career as an associate at Parker Rutstein, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was an assistant legislative aide assigned to the Judiciary Committee for Senator Joseph R. Biden.

Abbie presently serves as the Chairman of the Jewish Community Relation Council for the State of Nevada. She was recently appointed as Chair of the Security Task Force for Jewish Nevada. Abbie serves on the National Board of the Hidden Light Institute, the Board of Directors at Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as well as Board of Directors of the United Way of Southern Nevada. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the Shane Victorino Foundation. Ms. Friedman is a member of the Nevada Women’s Philanthropy, the AIPAC (Minion Club, Congressional Club and Legacy Level of the AIPAC Tomorrow Campaign). She is a member of the International Association of Gaming Advisors. She also serves on the national Board of United Hatzalah. Ms. Friedman has recently joined the Las Vegas host committee for Superbowl LVIII, the Secure Community Network, as well as the Board of Governors of Friends of Tel Aviv University.

Ms. Friedman formerly served as Board President of the Hebrew Academy of Las Vegas (Adelson Hebrew Academy). She was the Chairman of the Las Vegas chapter/council of AIPAC and was a board member of the National Museum of American Jewish History, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She formally served on the Board of Directors for Temple Beth Sholom and the Solomon Schechter School both of Las Vegas, Nevada. She also served as a Director on the Board of the Atlantic County Federation, Atlantic City, New Jersey.

She was an Associate Producer of the film Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin 2020 and Associate Producer of Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, Season 2 (Netflix). She presently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As US ambassador to Israel, David Friedman was instrumental in strengthening the US-Israel relationship under President Donald Trump, including overseeing the move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and achieving US recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. He was also a leading member of the Trump administration team that developed the historic Abraham Accords and brought that ambitious policy to fruition. 

In each of the past 5 years, Ambassador Friedman was recognized by The Jerusalem Post as one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world. The JTA recognized Ambassador Friedman as one of the 20 most important Jewish leaders of the past decade. Ambassador Friedman was awarded the National Security Medal in 2020 and nominated that year for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Ambassador Friedman has continued and expanded his efforts in support of strengthening US-Israel relations and  normalizing relations between Israel and the Arab world with the establishment of "The Friedman Center for Peace through Strength."

Dr. Joel M. Geiderman is the Co-Chair of the Emergency Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In 2000 he received the Jewish Healthcare Foundation’s “Avas Chesed” award. In 2004 he was honored by the Sheba Medical center in Tel Aviv as a “Medical Visionary.” Dr. Geiderman served on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. He is an expert on the subject of medical ethics as they relate to the Holocaust.

Sander Gerber is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Hudson Bay Capital Management. Mr. Gerber was awarded JINSA's 2017 Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson Distinguished Service Award for championing the Taylor Force Act. He is a fellow at the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs, distinguished fellow at JINSA Gemunder Center for Defense and Strategy, a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the New York Economic Club

Previously, Mr. Gerber served as a member of the AIPAC National Board of Directors from 2004 to 2016, and as the Vice Chairman of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars from 2008 until 2016.

Mr. Gerber graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, with a BSE in Finance from Wharton and a BA in Humanistic Philosophy from the College.

He resides in New York City with his wife and seven children.

Marc S. Goldman, Boca Raton, FL, is an independent businessman. After selling his third-generation family business, Farmland Dairies in 1999, Marc has been active in a variety of initiatives in culture, business, real estate and public policy, particularly oil independence. He has been associated with several movies and Broadway shows. He is involved with FIRST, which encourages students to participate in science and technology. He serves on the AISH International Advisory Board and a variety of other organizations.

Gabriel Groisman is the former Mayor of Bal Harbour, Florida, a Jewish community leader, a public speaker and writer, and is also a practicing attorney and government affairs consultant.

Gabriel Groisman is a much needed, strong, and proud voice supporting the Jewish community, with a focus on fighting against antisemitism, strengthening the community, and building bridges between Israel and the US. Groisman served as Mayor of Bal Harbour, Florida for six years through November 2022. He wrote and passed the nation’s first municipal anti-BDS ordinance in December 2015, as a city councilman, and was the first in the nation to codify a uniform definition of anti-Semitism in December 2017. Groisman’s subsequent dealings with a local church who had previously boycotted and divested from Israel is the first documented success story of anti-BDS legislation. 
 
Groisman has presented on two occasions at the United Nations in New York as a legal scholar on combating unjust and illegal commercial and academic boycotts of Israel, and has also presented at conferences held at the Italian Parliament in Rome, the Israeli Knesset and for groups across the country and abroad. Groisman is also a regular commentator on Spanish language TV and radio on various issues pertaining to Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish community. Groisman is a public speaker who speaks to groups around the world on issues related to the Jewish community, antisemitism and the Middle East.
 
Groisman is also a practicing attorney and government affairs consultant. He is a partner at LSN Partners where he focuses on government relations in correlation with the firm's state and national practice. At LSN Gabriel established an Israeli Tech practice, working with Israeli tech companies in various sectors, helping them navigate the world of government procurement and regulatory affairs in the United States. He also often advises on legal cases around the world related to protecting the Jewish community from discriminatory conduct by governments and private individuals alike. 
 
In 2017, Groisman was named as a member of Advisory Council for Israel and Middle East Issues by then-Congressman Ron DeSantis, Chairman of National Security Subcommittee.  In 2018, Mayor Groisman was awarded the Pursuit of Justice Award by the prestigious American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists. In 2022, Mayor Groisman was awarded the Pillar of Community by the Zionist Organization of America.

Groisman is the National Chairman of the Board of the Children's Tumor Foundation, and serves as a Board Member with the Republican Jewish Coalition and the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces.
 
At the end, he is most proud of being the father to 5 daughters and a husband to his wife Lisa for almost 20 years.

Cheryl Halpern is a partner at HQ Creative LLC, an Emmy Award winning production company and branding agency serving clients throughout the world. A producer and director of documentaries, Mrs. Halpern has a long record of public service in broadcasting and has served three U.S. Presidents in this capacity. She has served on the Board for International Broadcasting (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty) and the Broadcasting Board of Governors (Voice of America/Radio and TV Marti/ Radio Free Asia). Mrs. Halpern was confirmed to serve as a director of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and was elected by the board to serve two terms as Chairman. In addition to her service in public broadcasting, Cheryl Halpern served as the National Chairman of the RJC for eight years.

She lives in New Jersey with her husband and executive producer Fred.

Phyllis Greenberg Heideman is the Managing Partner of Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC, in Washington, D.C. She is active in Jewish communal affairs, formerly serving as a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council and currently serving as President of the March of the Living International and Co-Chair of the Israel Forever Foundation.

Sheldon B. (Shelly) Kamins has enjoyed a diverse professional and business career and has volunteered with distinction in the realms of political activism and philanthropy.

After graduating from the Georgetown law school in 1972, he entered the practice of law, specializing in business transactions. In 1981, he left his law partnership and became the co-owner of a real estate development, management and leasing company. The company successfully developed millions of square feet of commercial projects and Mr. Kamins also participated in a wide variety of other business ventures. He continues to advise and participate in entrepreneurship, deal structuring, economic innovations, finance and on seizing nascent business opportunities.

Mr. Kamins has held leadership positions in diverse civic and charitable endeavors. He served as Chairman of GOPAC, a national political organization focused on the education of candidates. He was Maryland Finance Co-Chair for Bush-Cheney 2000 and for Bush-Cheney 2004. He is Chairman of the RJC PAC, and has also served as Chairman of the Jewish Policy Center, where he remains a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Kamins has served as the National Vice President of Philanthropy for the renowned Weizmann Institute of Science and served three years as Washington, DC Chairman. He also served on the Finance Advisory Board of the George and Barbara Bush Endowment for Innovative Cancer Research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center. President George W. Bush appointed Mr. Kamins to a six year term on the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where he also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Kamins is married to Diane Sembler-Kamins and divides his time between Florida and Washington, DC, with children and grandchildren in both cities.

Fred E. Karlinsky is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice Group. Fred has over twenty years of experience representing the interests of insurers, reinsurers and a wide variety of other insurance-related entities on their regulatory, transactional, corporate and governmental affairs matters. Fred is a recognized authority on national insurance regulatory and compliance issues and has taken a leadership position in many insurance trade organizations, has led many industry-driven legislative and regulatory initiatives, and is a sought after thought leader who has spoken and presented papers to insurance executives and governmental officials, both nationally and internationally.

Fred is experienced in transactional law, executive and legislative governmental affairs, administrative law, and corporate representation. He advises clients on operational issues — including start-up initiatives, structuring, capitalization, and collaborative business relationships— and a complete array of regulatory and compliance issues, including licensure and corporate amendment applications, business expansion initiatives, solvency and statutory accounting issues, rate and form filings, and financial and market conduct examinations, to name a few.

Fred has a long history as a primary strategist in all types of Florida insurance-related legislative and regulatory initiatives for all kinds of insurance, including homeowners, automobile, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and other lines of property and casualty and life and health insurance.

In addition to his role with Greenberg Traurig, Fred is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Florida State University College of Law, where he teaches a course on Insurance Law and Economics.

Joshua Katzen is the president of Heller Property Management LLC,  a commercial real estate firm in Cambridge, MA. He has been involved with pro-Israel advocacy and conservative politics for over forty years, including as a founding leader of CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America) and a board member at JINSA (Jewish Institute for National Security of America).  
 
Josh co-founded the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS.org) in 2011 as an antidote to the left-biased Israel coverage of much of the rest of the media. Today JNS is an important platform for the pro-Israel community.  Reaching over 1,000,000 people per month via its website, it has become the world’s most significant and consistent source for pro-Israel news and opinion. Josh has been JNS’s Publisher since its inception and is active on a daily basis in planning operation, strategy, and fundraising. 
 
Josh is an amateur chamber music cellist and jazz pianist, and he and his wife Amelia have three children.

Mr. Klein is Chairman and CEO of Park Tower Group, a major real estate company based in New York. Known as a community leader, he has also been active in Republican affairs for many years and has served as an advisor to several Republican presidential administrations.

Mr. Klein is one of the founders of the RJC and has served as national chairman. He continues to guide the organization to this day as an honorary chairman.

Eliot Lauer, treasurer of RJC and a long time RJC board member, is a litigation partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.

He is a highly skilled and sought after trial lawyer and appellate advocate representing clients in complex civil and criminal matters in federal and state courts.  He has tried multiple jury and bench trials involving securities and commodities fraud market manipulation, accountants’ liability, false advertising and contract and agency disputes.  He also represents clients in domestic and international arbitration and before state and federal administrative agencies.

For over twenty years Lauer served as pro bono counsel to Jonathan Pollard eventually securing his release on parole in 2015 and then securing the termination of that parole in 2020, which then allowed for Pollard to emigrate to Israel.

For many years Lauer has chaired the board of Keren Or, a New York not-for-profit that runs a unique school and therapy center in Jerusalem for blind multi-disabled children and young adults.  He is a long serving board member of Yeshiva University High School and an advisor and former board member of Halachic Educational Center, now known as Sulamot, a board member of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation, and an advisor and active supporter to City of David Foundation and Hebron Fund among other Israeli institutions.

He received his law degree (cum laude) from the Fordham University School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from Yeshiva College.

Eliot and his wife Marilyn have four married children with many grandchildren, three of whom live in Israel.

Mr. Levine is an accomplished litigator and is the head of the Litigation and Bankruptcy Department of Eiseman Levine. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants and his clients range from individuals to Fortune 100 companies.

He graduated from Union College in 1980, Hofstra Law School in 1986 and received a Master’s Degree in Middle Eastern Politics from the University ofLondon’s School of Oriental and African Studies in 1981. After four years in private practice at White & Case, Mr. Levine joined the U.S. Department ofTreasury, Office of Thrift Supervision, where he prosecuted Savings and Loan fraud from 1990-1992.  While at OTS, Mr. Levine conducted multiple Administrative Proceedings and regularly appeared in Federal Courts around the country in aid of those proceedings.  As a Treasury Official, Mr. Levine worked closely with various U.S. Attorneys’ offices around the country, as well as numerous regulatory agencies including the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

After leaving the Department of Treasury, Mr. Levine worked at the Proskauer Rose Law Firm until 1996 before starting his own firm at Eiseman Levine. A significant portion of his practice relates to white collar civil defense work on behalf of individuals and corporations against the SEC, FINRA and other governmental agencies in both Administrative settings and in the Federal Courts.  Eric also has significant experience defending against civil RICO claims and has decades of experience litigating commercial disputes involving financial institutions, partnerships and LLCs. In addition to his litigation experience, Eric frequently counsels officers, directors and senior management employees looking to separate from their employers or who have been terminated by their respective companies. He has counseled and advised boards of directors and individual board members ofboth publicly traded companies and not-for-profit foundations and trusts to ensure proper corporate governance.

Larry Levine is the president of LevCor, a commercial real estate firm based in Houston, Texas and operating in the greater Southwest. Born and raised in a Texas border town, Larry learned early to stand up against antisemitism and he has continued that fight until today. He was raised with solid family values, a great work ethic, and a strong feeling of Judaism that have shaped every aspect of his life. He and his wife Mimi are the parents of three children.

Linda Lingle was the governor of Hawaii from 2002 to 2010. Prior to her tenure as governor, Lingle served as Chair of the Hawaii Republican Party from 1999 to 2002. She accompanied President George W. Bush as part of his honorary delegation to Jerusalem for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel.

Earle I. Mack served as US ambassador to Finland during the second term of President George W. Bush. Prior to that, he was a senior partner in The Mack Company, established about a century ago. The firm, headquartered in Fort Lee, New Jersey, invests, develops, and manages income-producing commercial real estate. He is an accomplished businessman who serves on the Board of Directors of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and Di Gorgio/White Rose Foods Corporation, among others.

Mr. Mack has a long history of philanthropy and public service. He is chairman of the Board of Directors of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, serves on the boards of two prominent organizations which fight prostate cancer, and was a member of the building development committee for the New York City Holocaust Memorial Commission.

Mr. Mack is an active supporter of the arts. He is Chairman Emeritus of the New York State Council on the Arts and a member of the Board of Directors of the New York City Ballet. In addition, he serves as a member of the Deans Council of the Tisch School of the Arts, as a Board Member of the Friends of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Friends of the Paris Opera & Ballet. He has been co-producer of two feature films that have won awards at the Cannes Film Festival.

His political involvement includes serving as chairman of the New York Victory 2000 committee, and chairing the finance committee of the New York Victory 2000. He has also served on the Republican National Finance Committee. He has been a member of the RJC Executive Committee and is now a Vice Chairman of the RJC.

Mr. Mack is very involved in thoroughbred horse racing and is the owner and breeder of thoroughbred racehorses in New York, New Jersey, Kentucky, Florida, Massachusetts, Maryland, Pennsylvania, California, Louisiana, France, England, Canada, Argentina, and Chile.

Mr. Marcus is one of the founders of The Home Depot Inc., North America’s largest home improvement retailer.

Mr. Marcus is active in many civic and charitable concerns. In 1991, he and with his wife, Billi, established the Marcus Institute in Atlanta, an affiliate of Emory University, which provides programs for children and adolescents with disorders of the brain, and their families. An 1998 the Marcus Institute joined forces with the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. The Kennedy Krieger Marcus National Foundation was created to further enhance the lives of this special population through national advocacy, professional training, and research. Mr. Marcus is the Chairman of the National Foundation.

He also is serves on the Board of Directors of The city of Hope, a cancer research center in California, and The Shepherd Center, which treats people with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and multiple sclerosis. He is a member of the Board of Governors for the American Jewish community and the Board of Trustees of the Atlanta Jewish Federation.

Larry A. Mizel graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1964, and with a JD degree from the University of Denver - College of Law in 1967.

In 1972, Mr. Mizel founded the company that became M.D.C. Holdings, Inc.(MDC), one of the nation’s top homebuilders and a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. He serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MDC, parent-corporation of Richmond American Homes. Under his tenure, MDC realized revenues of nearly $5 billion in 2005 and over the past decade, has consistently maintained one of the strongest financial positions in the industry. MDC has the distinction of being one of the few homebuilding-based companies to receive an investment-grade rating from all three rating agencies.

Mr. Mizel was a founder, and until 1996, Chairman of the Board of Asset Investors Corporation(AIC), a New York Stock Exchange-listed real estate investment trust, and of Commercial Assets Inc. (CAX), a real estate investment trust that traded on the American Stock Exchange. In addition, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Omnibank, a multibank holding company, until its sale to KeyCorp in 1995.

Mr. Mizel has been actively involved in many charitable, religious and community causes. He is a life member of The Council on Foreign Relations,an independent, nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to helping people better understand the world and foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries.

As one of the founders of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Mr. Mizel has served as the International Chairman of the Board of Trustees since 2003. Based in Los Angeles, the Simon Wiesenthal Center is an international human rights organization that promotes tolerance and combats racism and anti-Semitism around the world. Its educational arm, the Museum of Tolerance, a recipient of the 2004 Tolerance Award given at the United Nations, is a world-class human rights laboratory and learning center dedicated to challenging visitors to confront important contemporary issues. The Simon Wiesenthal Center is accredited as a non-governmental organization (NGO) at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OAS, the Council of Europe and the Latin American Parliament.

Mr. Mizel is a member of the board of directors of AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which works to help make Israel more secure by ensuring that American support remains strong.

In 1986, Mr. Mizel founded and served as the inaugural chairman of Colorado Concern, an organization committed to promoting sustainable business growth and advancing the economic well-being of Colorado.

Mr. Mizel is the founder of the Mizel Museumin Denver, Colorado, which provides regular artistic and educational programs that promote community understanding and tolerance for residents of the Rocky Mountain region.

Mr. Mizel founded, as a part of the Mizel Museum and corresponding Mizel Institute,The Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (The CELL) in 2004. The CELL is a non-profit institution dedicated to addressing the most important global issue of our time — terrorism. Located in Denver, Colorado, the CELL opened its state-of-the-art facility in 2008 with the purpose of educating citizens on the realities of today’s global terrorism threats, seeking to empower individuals and organizations with knowledge and tools to help them proactively affect positive change. It is the only exhibit of its kind in the world.

Mr. Mizel also founded the Mizel Arts and Culture Center(The MACC) located in Denver at the Jewish Community Center. The MACC illuminates the human experience through creative and cultural programs in the performing, visual, and literary arts for the Jewish community and the community at large.

As a founding member of The Denver Rustlers, Mr. Mizel works with other Colorado business leaders to support youth in the community. From raising scholarship money, to supporting participants at the Junior Livestock Sale at the annual Colorado State Fair, to opening the Denver Rustlers Kids Café in 1994 to combat childhood hunger, this organization strives to make a difference in children’s lives.

Over the years, Mr. Mizel has been the recipient of recognition by various organizations. In 1987, he received the National Humanitarian Awardfrom National Jewish Health, a global leader in the research and treatment of respiratory, immune and related diseases. In 1996, Mr. Mizel was named Honorary Dean of the University of Denver’s Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management. In 2001, he was one of the recipients of the distinguished Ellis Island Medal of Honor which pays tribute to the immigrant experience and individual achievement. In 2002, he was awarded the title Honorary Irishman by the Ancient Order of Hiberians, a Catholic-Irish-American Fraternal Organization founded in 1836, for his work in supporting the Heroes of 9-11. In 2005, Mr. Mizel received the Defenders of Freedom Award from the National Homeland Defense Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to securing freedom in the fields of homeland defense and security. In 2010, he was awarded The Ben S. Wendelken Special Trustees' Award by Colorado’s El Pomar Foundation for embodying the spirit of service and giving through his life’s work. In 2011, he received the Steve Ross Lifetime Achievement Award from the Milken Institute, was named a Colorado State Patrol Honorary Colonel, and in 2018, he was entered into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame.

Mr. Rosen is also one of the most prominent young leaders on the Jewish communal scene. He is Vice-chair of the Board of Directors of the Birthright Israel Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees of Yeshiva University, Founding and Current Vice Chairman of the Board of Yeshiva College and an active member of numerous other organizations. Mr. Rosen is also one of the key power brokers in the Israel business and political communities.

Lee Samson was born in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of UCLA and a lifelong California resident.

After graduating from UCLA, Lee became the first West Coast Regional Director of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY), developing the region to 21 chapters throughout the western United States and Canada.

Following a decade devoted to social work and Jewish youth, Lee founded Windsor Healthcare Management, one of the largest and most respected post‐ acute, skilled nursing and rehabilitation providers in California and Arizona.

Lee’s commitment to charitable endeavors spans the globe:He is a member of the International Board of Trustees of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and serves on the Board of Governors of Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the Board of Directors of the Orthodox Union. He is Chairman of the Board of Young Israel of North Beverly Hills, and he recently dedicated the Samson Center at Yeshiva University of Los Angeles High School. Additionally, he serves on the Los Angeles Philharmonic Board of Trustees.

His philanthropy is also centered on many institutions in Israel including NCSY’s Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey, Shaare Zedek Hospital’s Lee and Anne Samson Interventional Neuro‐Radiology Unit in Jerusalem, The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem, and The Samson Family Wine Research Center at Ariel University. Mr. Samson serves as Chairman of The Biblical Museum of Natural History and sits on the Board of Directors of Ma'aleh Film School. He is the International Chairman of Yeshivat Hesder Kiryat Shmona.

Lee has been a staunch supporter of the Republican Party for over 20 years. He is a member of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and a board member of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC). Over the years he has hosted many prominent Republican senators and members of the House including Speaker John Boehner (2012), Senator Marco Rubio (2016), US Representatives Ed Royce and Young Kim (2018), Congresswoman Mimi Walters (2018), and Senator Lindsey Graham (2019) among many others whom he has supported financially.

In 2019 Mr. Samson hosted President Trump during his re‐election campaign which raised $5,000,000. He further supported Mr. Trump hosting his daughter Ivanka Trump in 2020 raising $2,00,000 for his re‐election.

Mr. Samson is well‐known and highly respected within the Republican Party. He was among the delegation onsite in Jerusalem at the opening of the United States Embassy and was one of very few invited to witness the signing of The Abraham Accords at The White House.

Mr. Samson was married to his late wife, Anne, for 45 years. They have three children, fourteen grandchildren, and three great‐grandchildren.

Bobby Schostak, after nearly 40 years in the family real estate business, spends his time today in three areas including MadDog Technology Venture Fund, a division of MadDog Technology, where he serves as its fund manager and CEO. MadDogTechnology is a developer and funder of cloud based solutions that are disruptive to the industries they serve.

After serving for seven years in the Michigan Republican Party, as Chairman and Finance Chairman, Schostak announced the formation of the Templar Baker Group (TBG) in June 2015. TBG provides strategic political and business consulting, helping to bridge the relationships between business and government for their clients. The company is based in Lansing, Michigan and run by his four colleagues.

He has served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer of his family’s business, Schostak Brothers & Company, a leading commercial real estate business based in Livonia, Michigan, where they operate commercial properties in 24 states. In addition, the Schostak family operates the largest privately held, franchised restaurant company in Michigan, Team Schostak Family Restaurants, with ownership of over 100 restaurants, including Del Taco, Olga’s Kitchen, Applebee’s, and MOD Pizza.

Schostak serves on the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Congenital Heart Center National Advisory Board and was appointed by Michigan’s Former Governor Rick Snyder to the Oakland University Board of Trustees in December of 2015. He also serves on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as the Michigan Board Chair and the Quantum Ventures of Michigan Advisory Board.

Schostak and his wife, Nancy, were married in 1977; together they have three married children and 8 grandchildren.

Martin Selig owns a real estate development firm operating in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Selig is a longtime supporter of Republican candidates.

Mel Sembler, Chairman Emeritus of The Sembler Company, served as United States Ambassador to Italy from 2001 to 2005 and as U.S. Ambassador to Australia and Nauru from 1989 to 1993.

As a developer, Sembler is responsible for building The Sembler Company into one of the United States’ most highly recognized shopping center development and management companies, known for creative design and environmental integrity. Sembler is also renowned for his activism in the anti-drug movement.

A strong supporter of the Republican Party for decades, Sembler served as Finance Chairman for the Republican National Committee from 1997 to 2000. He also served as Florida's National Committeeman to the Republican National Committee after his election in 1994 until 2000. Sembler accompanied President George W. Bush to Israel as part of his honorary delegation marking Israel’s 60th anniversary of statehood.

Presently on the boards of the International Council of Shopping Centers, American Enterprise Institute, George Bush Presidential Library Foundation, Republican Jewish Coalition, and Moffitt Cancer Center, Sembler is also a sustaining member of the Florida Council of 100, a business advisory council to the Governor of Florida.

Dr. Richard Sherman is a current member of the California Republican Party and served for six years as Chairman of the Los Angele County Republican Party (LAGOP). For many years Richard has been an active political grassroots leader and has worked on a number of national, state, and local races including for his daughter Alicia, who is now Mayor of the City of Calabasas. He has been actively involved in the RJC since 2000 and has served on the RJC’s Board of Directors since 2010.

Richard is a clinical and consulting psychologist (mostly retired). He has also served as President of the California Board of Psychology, President of the California Psychological Association, and President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association. He lives in Calabasas, CA. He is most proud of his family, which includes two adult daughters, their husbands, and four grandchildren.

Ron Weiser is the past chairman of the Michigan Republican Party. From 2001-2004, he served as Ambassador to Slovakia under President George W. Bush. He is the founder of McKinley Associates, a national real estate investment company, and served as its Chairman and CEO. He has previously served on the University of Michigan President’s Advisory Board, as Treasurer and Chairman of Artrain USA, and as chairman of numerous non-profit fundraising events. Currently, Weiser serves as the National Finance Chairman for the Republican National Committee.

In December 2014, Mr. Zeidman was appointed as Chairman of Gordian Group LLC, a U.S. investment bank specializing in board level advice in complex, distressed or “story” financial matters. Mr. Zeidman currently serves as Co-Chair and Director of Council for Secure America, Director of Prosperity Bank and Camber Energy. He was formerly Restructuring Officer of TransMeridian Exploration Inc., Chief Bankruptcy Trustee of AremisSoft Corp., lead Director of Straight Path Communications, Inc. and Director of Hyperdynamics Corp.

Mr. Zeidman, Chairman Emeritus of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council was appointed by President George W. Bush in March 2002 and served in that position from 2002-2010. A prominent Houston based business and civic leader, Mr. Zeidman also is Chairman Emeritus of the University of Texas Health Science System Houston and Chief Financial Officer of the Texas Heart Institute. He also was Campaign Chairman of Development Corp of Israel. He served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the University of Saint Thomas and on the Board of the National World War II Museum.

Over the course of his distinguished 50 year career, Mr. Zeidman has been involved in numerous high-profile workouts, restructurings and reorganizations. He was former CEO, President and Chairman of Seitel, Inc., a Houston-based provider where he was instrumental in the successful turnaround of the Company. He held the post of Chairman of the Board and CEO of Unibar Corporation, the largest domestic independent drilling fluids company, until its sale to Anchor Drilling Fluids in 1992.

Mr. Zeidman holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master’s in Business Administration from New York University. He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and children.

Former Congressman Lee Zeldin grew up in Suffolk County, New York, where he graduated from William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY) and then Albany Law School, becoming New York's youngest attorney at the time at the age of 23.

After completing the Army ROTC program, Lee Zeldin served four years on Active Duty. During that time, he served in different capacities, including as a Military Intelligence Officer, Prosecutor and Military Magistrate. While assigned to the Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division, in the summer of 2006, he was deployed to Tikrit, Iraq, with an infantry battalion of fellow paratroopers in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his service on active duty, in 2007, Congressman Zeldin transitioned from Active Duty to the Army Reserve, where he currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel.

In 2008, Congressman Zeldin opened a successful law practice in Smithtown, New York, which he operated full time until he was elected to the New York State Senate in 2010, representing New York's 3rd Senate District. In 2014, following four years in the State Senate, Congressman Zeldin was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing New York’s First Congressional District.

While in Congress, Lee Zeldin served on two Committees in the House of Representatives: Financial Services and Foreign Affairs, where he serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Additionally, Congressman Zeldin served as co-chair of the Long Island Sound Caucus and founding member of the National Estuary Program Caucus. As one of two Jewish Republicans in Congress, he also served as co-chairman of the House Republican Israel Caucus, which has over 100 members, and was a stalwart opponent of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, co-leading a House-passed resolution (H.Res.246) to combat it.

Lee Zeldin ran for governor in New York State in 2022 and suffered a narrow loss. Despite that, his strong statewide outreach is credited with helping several New York Republicans win House seats, giving the 118th Congress a Republican majority.
