Palestinian Authority

The RJC believes that the Palestinian Authority must honor its commitments under the Road Map to Peace, as outlined by former President Bush, and completely dismantle the Palestinian terrorist infrastructure. Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terrorist groups have not changed their original goal, the destruction of Israel, nor their original tactics, terrorism and violence. Those organizations that continue to fund, support or carry out terrorist attacks should be unequivocally targeted in the U.S. War on Terrorism.

The RJC believes any U.S. financial assistance to the PA be firmly conditioned on Palestinian accountability, transparency and a complete cessation of a culture of violence against Israel. The actions, not the words, of the Palestinian Authority should determine whether it is a viable partner for peace with Israel.

The RJC supports the desire of the Palestinians to live freely and peacefully. We would support the establishment of a truly democratic Palestinian political entity that is accountable, transparent, and committed to the rule of law; that is willing and able to live in peace with the State of Israel; that accepts Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state; that guarantees the absolute elimination of terrorism; that ends incitement to violence against Israel and the Jewish people in its official media and schools; and which will work with Israel and other nations for the political, economic and social advancement of the region.
