RJC Applauds DeSantis Appointment of Judge Robert Luck

The Republican Jewish Coalition applauds Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for appointing Robert Luck to the state Supreme Court.

RJC National Chairman Sen. Norm Coleman said:

Robert Luck has had a remarkable career in public service for a man who has not yet celebrated his 40th birthday. He served as a legislative correspondent for Senator Jon Kyl (R–AZ), as a Miami federal prosecutor, and as a judge on Florida’s 11th Circuit Court and then on the state’s 3rd District Court of Appeals. Judge Luck is well-respected and well-known far beyond Florida for his talent, his hard work, and his commitment to the law.

Judge Luck will be a voice for judicial restraint and respect for the Constitution on the state Supreme Court. Gov. DeSantis has done Florida proud by naming Judge Luck to this office.

RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks said:

By appointing Judge Robert Luck to the Florida Supreme Court, Governor Ron DeSantis has elevated a highly-regarded and dedicated jurist, who is also the first Jewish justice appointed to the Florida Supreme Court in over 20 years. Gov. DeSantis has always stood with the Jewish community and with Israel. As a congressman serving on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, he was a strong pro-Israel voice and a staunch opponent of Pres. Obama’s Iran deal. We are proud that Gov. DeSantis chose Judge Luck for the Florida Supreme Court.
