RJC Applauds US Veto of UN Security Council Resolution on Jerusalem

Washington D.C. -- The Republican Jewish Coalition released a statement today to applaud the U.S. veto of a United Nations Security Council resolution attempting to nullify U.S. policy recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the intention to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.

National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman said:

We applaud President Donald Trump and Ambassador Nikki Haley for their firm action to veto this U.N. Security Council resolution. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel; U.S. policy recognizes that simple reality. With this veto, the U.S. made a principled stand for truth, justice, and peace.

Executive Director Matt Brooks said:

We are proud to have a President who stands with Israel, who fights back against distortions and anti-Israel hatred in the international arena, and who defends American sovereignty and the sovereignty of our allies.
