RJC Remarks on House Passage of the Taylor Force Act

Washington, D.C. – The RJC released the following statement from National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman and Executive Director Matt Brooks:

Today, the House of Representatives passed the Taylor Force Act, a bill the RJC has actively supported since it was first introduced in 2016. We commend Representatives Doug Lamborn and Lee Zeldin, the sponsors of the bill, along with Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, for their unwavering efforts to move the Taylor Force Act forward. We thank House Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy for making it a priority to pass the bill on the House floor within weeks of its winning committee approval.

Coleman said, "The Taylor Force Act takes aim at the Palestinian Authority's horrifying 'pay for slay' policy of paying salaries to terrorist murderers and their family members. It will take the important step of cutting off American taxpayer money from going to the Palestinian Authority while the PA continues to encourage and incentivize the murder and injury of Israelis and Americans."

Brooks said, "The passage of the Taylor Force Act by the House is another step toward holding the Palestinian Authority accountable for its support of terrorism. The RJC will continue to vigorously advocate for swift passage of the Taylor Force Act by the Senate — the last step before it can be signed by President Trump and enacted into law."
