A new Pew poll shows the sharp partisan divide in sympathies for Israel or the Palestinians, with Republican support for Israel soaring while Democrat support continues to wane.

Washington, D.C. -- The Pew Research Center reported today that: “The partisan divide in Middle East sympathies, for Israel or the Palestinians, is now wider than at any point since 1978. Currently, 79% of Republicans say they sympathize more with Israel than the Palestinians, compared with just 27% of Democrats.”

RJC: GOP Leaders Speak Out about Anti-Regime Protests in Iran

Washington D.C. -- Iran has seen a week of anti-government protests, in which more than 20 people have been killed and 450 arrested. The unrest began with small protests over economic issues in one city, but quickly expanded into mass protests across the country calling for political change.
 
When Iranians took to the streets in 2009, the Obama administration did not respond. President Trump and his administration, along with leading Republican legislators, are speaking out in support of the protesters this time. The RJC thanks President Trump for his leadership in supporting the Iranian people.


Statement on UN Vote Against the U.S. Recognition of Jerusalem
