RJC Applauds President Donald J. Trump’s Speech on Antisemitism, Highlighting His Support for the Jewish Community and Israel
Washington, DC – Republican Jewish Coalition National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman and CEO Matt Brooks released the following statement applauding President Donald Trump’s speech on antisemitism to Jewish leaders:
President Donald Trump’s speech last night was a tour de force in support of the Jewish community and Israel, as we collectively face some of the darkest days in modern Jewish history.
From start to finish, President Trump received countless standing ovations as he promised to:
- Defund universities that tolerate antisemitism: “To confront the crisis of antisemitism at our universities, I will tell college presidents that they must end the antisemitic propaganda, or they will lose their accreditation and they will lose all federal support.”
- Defend and protect Jewish Americans: “My promise to Jewish Americans is this: With your vote, I will be your defender, your protector, and I will be the best friend Jewish Americans have ever had in the White House."
- Restore the US-Israel relationship: “Under my leadership, America will once again stand shoulder to shoulder with our friend and ally, the state of Israel.”
- Remove terrorist sympathizers from America: “If you hate America, if you want to eliminate Israel, we will throw you out of our country so rapidly your head will spin.”
- Call out Kamala Harris for appeasing Hamas terrorists: “Over the past 12 months, Kamala Harris has repeatedly demanded an immediate ceasefire to save Hamas.”
President Trump also rightly pointed out that as President of the United States, he did more for American Jews and the Jewish state than any President in modern history; and although many Jewish Americans vote for Democrats, he is working tirelessly to change that - and he has: in 2020, President Trump received the largest share of the Jewish vote in 40 years, including record-setting levels of support in key battleground states. We fully expect President Trump to build on his historic success in this critical 2024 election.
With antisemitism skyrocketing to record highs and the US-Israel relationship reaching new lows, it is more important than ever to send President Trump back to the White House. November 5, 2024 cannot come soon enough.
