RJC Statement on Barbara Bush

Washington, D.C. (April 17, 2018) -- Today, the Republican Jewish Coalition issued the following statement from National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman:

We are saddened by the passing of former First Lady Barbara Bush. On behalf of the Republican Jewish Coalition, we send our thoughts and prayers to President George H.W. Bush, President George W. Bush, and the entire Bush family. Barbara Bush was an extraordinary woman. She dedicated her life to public service, and worked tirelessly to help sick children and people in need. Mrs. Bush was the gold standard for what it means to be First Lady. She inspired millions and helped countless others. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of charity will live on. May her memory be a blessing.

RJC Celebrates the Passage of The Taylor Force Act in the Omnibus

Washington, D.C. (March 23, 2018) -- Today, the Republican Jewish Coalition released the following statement from National Chairman, Senator Norm Coleman:

The passage of the Taylor Force Act in the omnibus spending bill is an important and welcome step forward in the fight against terrorism. The RJC especially wants to thank Senators Lindsey Graham (SC), Mitch McConnell (KY), and Bob Corker (TN), House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Congressmen Doug Lamborn (CO-5), Lee Zeldin (NY-1), and Ed Royce (CA-39) for their principled leadership on this issue. The tireless work of Sander Gerber must also be acknowledged, without Sander, this day would not have been possible. We are proud to have worked hand-in-hand with all of them to cut aid to the PA while the PA continues its pay-for-slay policy. Paying terrorists and their families, as the PA has done with US taxpayer dollars, for murdering and injuring Americans and Israelis is an incentive to further violence that has to stop.

The Taylor Force Act was a top priority for the RJC. We are honored to have been the first group to publicly come out in support of it.
