Following the injuries he sustained, Sam was medically retired from the US Military as a Captain. During the three years he spent in recovery, Sam fell in love, married, and started a family with U.S. Army First Lieutenant, Amy Larsen, who worked as his Burn Unit Dietitian. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer
OR-05
Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s 2022 victory was the first blue-to-red flip in Oregon since 1994. Since her election, she has focused on her district’s agriculture and transportation needs, as well as education issues. Chavez-DeRemer played a key role in passing a Parents’ Bill of Rights and challenged higher education leaders to stand up to campus antisemitism. It will not be easy for Chavez-DeRemer to win a second term. In her district, Biden beat Trump by almost 9 percent. Her likeliest Democrat opponent is the same person she defeated in 2022: J Street-endorsed progressive firebrand Jamie McLeod-Skinner. The contrast between the pragmatic and practical Republican and the Democrat backed by the hard left Working Families Party could not be clearer.

He fought to increase pay for American service members. He forcefully rejected the Democrat proposal to put conditions on U.S. assistance for Israel. In 2014, out-numbered in party registration by more than 2-1, and outspent by more than 5-1, Larry Hogan pulled off the biggest upset in America on election night, becoming only the second Republican Governor elected in Maryland in 50 years. Once in office, Governor Hogan quickly became an example of leadership for the nation, accomplishing what many believed was no longer possible: bipartisan, common sense solutions. After four years of economic success and bipartisan progress in one of the bluest states in America, Governor Hogan was overwhelmingly re-elected to a second term in 2018, making him only the second Republican to do so in the entire history of the state.

Congressman David Schweikert, whose legislative focus is on fiscal issues, has demonstrated staying power in his Scottsdale-based seat since winning election by beating a Democrat incumbent in 2010 – even as his district has moved toward Democrats in presidential, gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races. But Democrats are promising that they will make this his toughest race yet. It would be a real setback for the Jewish community if Schwiekert were replaced by a typical Democrat. After Hamas attacked Israelis on October 7th, Schweikert quickly spoke out in solidarity with the Jewish state and called for “unwavering” support for Israel’s self-defense. Within days, he introduced a bill to take the $6 billion the Biden administration wanted to send to Iran and redirect it to Israel.

Because the donation is made through the RJC PAC, the campaign also knows that it came from an RJC member who cares about the RJC’s priority issues. That makes your donation a force-multiplier. This branded financial bundling is critical to letting our GOP friends know that the Republican Jewish community has their backs!

Donating through the RJC PAC Portal is easy. Click the “X” on this window and then search by name, filter by state, or our featured and endorsee list. Select the Republicans you would like to support and follow the prompts to make your donation(s). RJC staff is also happy to walk you through the process if you run into any issues. Contact Daniel Magat at DMagat@RJCHQ.org if you need assistance.
