A Message from RJC National Chairman Norm Coleman: Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023

As 2022 draws to a close, I want to reflect on some of the Republican Jewish Coalition’s key moments from the past year and look ahead to what we have in store for 2023.

We started the year with a clear goal; winning back our majorities in the House and Senate. We hired additional staff in the critical battleground states, hosted major community events for our endorsed candidates, and RJC Victory Team volunteers made hundreds of thousands of voter contacts. In addition, the RJC PAC raised close to $2 million for our great Republican candidates and the RJC Victory Fund spent over $3 million on hard-hitting ads in key battleground states. While we came up short in the Senate, our investments paid dividends in the House and we’ve taken back the Speaker’s gavel from Nancy Pelosi!

This cycle, the RJC continued to punch above its weight. We made an indelible mark by making the largest investment in the midterm elections in our organization’s history. These investments resulted in the Republican Party increasing its share of the national Jewish vote to a percentage not seen in a generation! Compared to 24% in 2016, and 30% in 2020, the GOP garnered 33% of Jewish support for candidates across the nation in 2022. And in Florida, Republican candidates earned a record-smashing 45% of the Jewish vote en route to landslide victories for Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio.

The Republican House majority will put the brakes on Biden’s legislative agenda, and we will continue our important work on Capitol Hill in 2023. Our efforts will also be focused on engaging the grassroots, advocating for our priority issues, and educating Jewish voters on why the GOP is their natural home.

With our newly enhanced digital fundraising platform, the RJC and its members raised millions of dollars for a record number of Senate and House incumbents and challengers this cycle. Looking ahead to the next cycle, we will expand our PAC portal to more candidates across the country and continue to have a force-multiplying impact on key races. Our number one priority is growing our majority in the House, flipping the Senate, and winning back the White House.

We ended 2022 on a high note with our most successful Annual Meeting in Las Vegas ever! The energy and enthusiasm of the over 850 leaders in attendance, and our star-studded lineup of speakers, dominated the news cycle. The event has truly become the "talk of the town" and shows the respect that the top policy and decision makers in the GOP have for the important role of the RJC and our members within the overall fabric of the party, and the critical role we each play in getting America back on track.

2022 was a great year for the RJC, and we continue to triumph and grow because of your participation. I extend my heartfelt wishes for good health, success, and happiness in the new year to you and your family and know that 2023 has the makings of a truly historic year for RJC.
