Republican Jewish Coalition Plants 1,189 Trees in Israel After Democrats Fail to Praise Israel at Convention

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) said Friday that even though not one Democrat had praised Israel from the podium during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, it would plant 1,189 trees in Israel, anyway.

The number of trees corresponds to the number of victims of the Hamas terror attack against Israel on October 7.

...In a statement, the RJC noted:

"...Of the 155 Democratic Convention speakers, not a single one, including Kamala Harris, praised Israel from the main stage as the Jewish state fights for its very survival against Iran-backed terrorists in the aftermath of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Harris said the bare minimum, an obvious statement about Israel having the right to defend itself. But she never praised Israel. Instead, she implicitly criticized Israel for the suffering Hamas has caused in Gaza. Her support of an immediate ceasefire means Hamas survives, and that’s unacceptable."

Fmr Sen. Norm Coleman to Newsmax: Dems Have 'Caved to Pro-Hamas' Wing

Modern Democrats "have caved to the pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinian wing of the Democratic Party," former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN), told Newsmax on Saturday.

... "[T]he suffering in Gaza is caused by Hamas. There is no moral equivalence. Hamas uses civilians as human shields and as hostages. They're taking Palestinian lives as part of their game plan. It's one of their tactics. And so, you've got to get past the moral equivalence."

Many American Jews are waking up to the rise of antisemitism within the Democratic Party and it could encourage more Jews to vote Republican this fall, according to Coleman.

"And perhaps Jewish kids will get harassed on college campuses because of the far left, and when you add all that together, I think you've got a formula for in these targeted states, these battleground states where a few votes makes a difference, to ensure that Donald Trump is reelected as the president of the United States," Coleman concluded.

RJC Endorses Eight US Senate Candidates

Today, the Republican Jewish Coalition announced the endorsement of eight US Senate candidates - two challenging Democratic incumbents and six running in seats left open by incumbent retirements.

The newly-endorsed Senate candidates are: Rep. Jim Banks (Indiana), Rep. John Curtis (Utah), Nella Domenici (New Mexico), former Gov. Larry Hogan (Maryland), Eric Hovde (Wisconsin), Gov. Jim Justice (West Virginia), Kari Lake (Arizona) and former Rep. Mike Rogers (Michigan).

RJC National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman said:

Under the leadership of Senator Steve Daines, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the GOP is fielding an outstanding slate of candidates in races across the nation. Whether it’s the southwest, the midwest or the mid-Atlantic, voters are fed up with the Democrats’ failures on economic policy, border policy and foreign policy.

Taking back control of the Senate from Chuck Schumer and his caucus of lock-step hard-left liberals is a necessity for getting our country back on track at a time when 7 in 10 Americans believe we’re headed in the wrong direction.

We’re excited to support these candidates, and Jewish Americans can count on all of them to support Israel and fight antisemitism.

You can support these great candidates directly by clicking their linked names above or by going to the RJC PAC Portal, where you can see and support all of our endorsed candidates across the country. More endorsements are coming soon!

Don't Fall for Kamala's Lies About Israel

Former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman was quoted by the Daily Wire when he cautioned Jewish voters not to be fooled by Kamala Harris's few words about Israel at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last week:

Former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who helped his longtime friend former President Donald Trump implement the historic Abraham Accords and the move of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, warned American Jews about the duplicity of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris...

"Her speech was about as reassuring as her husband’s waxing on about her brisket," Friedman declared. "Remember, under her administration, (1) sanctions against Iran were not enforced and Iran gained $200B+ in GDP which it used to fund the current crisis, (2) funding to UNRWA was restored and used to fund Hamas, (3) Israel was denied essential weapons that it needed to defeat Hamas and an arms embargo was 'under discussion,' and (4) a Palestinian state was foolishly presented as the fix for October 7!"

"We have to stop falling for the bagels and lox narratives that the Democrats have used repeatedly to defraud Jews into voting for them. Don’t fall for it. Be smarter!" he concluded.

Shelley Goldschmidt believes that Kamala Harris "poses a threat to Jewish safety and Israel" and she's got the receipts. Her post on Twitter, "The Case Against Kamala Harris: A Definitive Guide For Jewish and Pro-Israel Voters" is a good roundup of Harris's record on Israel and antisemitism.

Congratulations, Malka! Thank you for your outstanding efforts to advance our Jewish voter outreach. Your work has a real impact!

Each week, we're going to celebrate and thank one outstanding volunteer who has contacted the most Jewish potential voters through our phone banking and door knocking programs.

Kerstein: When Democrats tell the Jews, 'Let me be clear…'

Democrats are now trapped in a state of more or less total schizophrenia, torn between an increasingly violent antisemitic wing and the squishy liberals unwilling to stand up to it. In this context, [Kamala] Harris’s [remarks on Israel at the DNC were] clearly intended to reassure American Jews—and not just on Israel. It was a way of saying that American Jewish fears and concerns are being taken seriously.

… In politics, what is said means next to nothing. What is done or not done means everything. And on the most pressing American Jewish issues of the moment, there is a very great deal that the Democrats have not done... (Click to see the list.)

Hackner: Eighteen Warning Signs Jewish Parents Should Look Out for This School Year

The K-12 school year is starting soon, and Jewish parents must be on the lookout for radical, anti-Israel activity. The first signs of such activity, however, are rarely extreme anti-Zionist teachings but rather a host of ideological pronouncements and commitments made by the school that mark the official adoption of a binary oppressed-oppressor ideology in every aspect of school life.

Bryen: Egypt: Israel’s Alleged ‘Peace Partner’

In capturing Rafah between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, Israel uncovered more than 50 smuggling tunnels — some large enough to drive trucks through. Big trucks.

Israel has said that it will continue to control the Philadelphi Corridor to ensure that Hamas cannot rearm itself. Egypt, a ceasefire negotiating "partner," announced that it will not accept Israeli control. And, in fact, The New York Times reported that Egypt’s state-run Al-Qahera News quoted an unnamed senior official saying "there is no truth" to claims of Hamas tunnels under the border.

Sadly, there’s nothing new here.

Jewish Insider: As tensions soar in the West Bank, IDF launches new offensive operation

While most of the international focus of Israel’s current war has been on Gaza and Lebanon, over the past 11 months tensions have also soared in the West Bank, with various Palestinian militant factions – some with direct backing from Iran – carrying out violent terror attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers. The attacks have included placing explosive devices on roadways, shooting at civilian vehicles and even dispatching a bomber to the heart of Tel Aviv for the first time in more than 15 years.

Israel has responded by sending its troops deeper into Palestinian towns and cities, as well as conducting more than 60 airstrikes, using an array of drones, attack helicopters and fighter jets to hit terror targets and cells from above.
