Abbie Friedman

Abbie Green Friedman graduated from Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, formerly known as Akiba Hebrew Academy. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from Temple University in 1978 and later earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law (Delaware Law School) in 1981.

Ms. Friedman previously practiced Law at Lionel Sawyer and Collins, Las Vegas Nevada, specializing in corporate and casino/gaming law.  She also served as Of-Counsel to Spector Gadon and Rosen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and as an Associate for Cooper Perkskie April Niedelman and Wagenheim, Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Fox Rothchild LLP, formally Horn Goldberg Gorney and Daniels, Atlantic City, New Jersey. She began her legal career as an associate at Parker Rutstein, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was an assistant legislative aide assigned to the Judiciary Committee for Senator Joseph R. Biden.

Abbie presently serves as the Chairman of the Jewish Community Relation Council for the State of Nevada. She was recently appointed as Chair of the Security Task Force for Jewish Nevada. Abbie serves on the National Board of the Hidden Light Institute, the Board of Directors at Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as well as Board of Directors of the United Way of Southern Nevada. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the Shane Victorino Foundation. Ms. Friedman is a member of the Nevada Women’s Philanthropy, the AIPAC (Minion Club, Congressional Club and Legacy Level of the AIPAC Tomorrow Campaign). She is a member of the International Association of Gaming Advisors. She also serves on the national Board of United Hatzalah. Ms. Friedman has recently joined the Las Vegas host committee for Superbowl LVIII, the Secure Community Network, as well as the Board of Governors of Friends of Tel Aviv University.

Ms. Friedman formerly served as Board President of the Hebrew Academy of Las Vegas (Adelson Hebrew Academy). She was the Chairman of the Las Vegas chapter/council of AIPAC and was a board member of the National Museum of American Jewish History, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She formally served on the Board of Directors for Temple Beth Sholom and the Solomon Schechter School both of Las Vegas, Nevada. She also served as a Director on the Board of the Atlantic County Federation, Atlantic City, New Jersey.

She was an Associate Producer of the film Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin 2020 and Associate Producer of Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, Season 2 (Netflix). She presently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
