Coleman: Dayenu - Reflecting on President Trump’s Historic Achievements

Thursday, April 10, 2025

As Jews around the world begin the holiday of Passover, and reflect on the accomplishments of President Donald J. Trump and his administration, I am reminded of my favorite part of the Seder–a song we sing about being grateful to God for all of the gifts he has given us. If God had only delivered one blessing, we chant “Dayenu”–“It would have been enough”.

In 2019, I led the inaugural "RJC Dayenu", listing many achievements of the first Trump administration. In these eleven weeks of the second Trump administration, the American Jewish community and the State of Israel have even more to be grateful for.

Join us in the 2025 RJC Dayenu:

Had President Trump only ordered a whole-of-government strategy to combat antisemitism in the United States and around the world…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only secured the border and brought illegal immigration to a halt…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only unleashed American energy to help reduce the cost of living…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only championed school choice for our children and pushed back on four decades of government education failures…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only authorized the deportation of foreign pro-terrorist radicals from our streets and college campuses…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only ordered an interagency Joint Task Force to investigate the October 7th terrorist attack and provide victim assistance…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only imposed sanctions on the rogue, anti-American, anti-Israel International Criminal Court…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only delivered justice to Gold Star families by capturing the terrorist responsible for the Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul that killed 13 of our brave servicemembers in Afghanistan…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only signed an executive order requiring a mandatory death penalty sentence for anyone who murders a police officer…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only put 60 universities under investigation, and slashed billions of dollars of federal funding, for failing to address rampant antisemitism and protect Jewish students…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only withdrawn from the anti-Israel, antisemitic United Nations Human Rights Council…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only removed the obstacles preventing Israel from receiving critical military aid as it continues to fight an existential war…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only helped to rescue and save hostages being held by Hamas in the terror tunnels underneath Gaza…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only reinstituted maximum pressure on Iran to isolate and bankrupt the terrorist regime in Tehran…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only re-listed the Iran-backed Houthis on the Foreign Terrorist Organizations list and ordered decisive military action to protect the interests of America and our allies…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only welcomed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington as the first foreign leader to visit the White House…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only dispatched Vice President JD Vance to Dachau to commemorate the victims and survivors of the Nazi terror regime and the 80th anniversary of the camp’s liberation by American forces…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only defunded the antisemitic, anti-Israel UNRWA…Dayenu.

Had President Trump only nominated and the US Senate confirmed Marco Rubio as US Secretary of State and Mike Huckabee as US Ambassador to Israel…Dayenu.

Many Presidents make promises–President Trump keeps his promises.

President Trump is a defender of the Jewish people, and the greatest friend the State of Israel has ever had in the White House

Chag Pesach Sameach, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
