Michael Bogachek

Dr. Michael Bogachek is a senior healthcare and governance executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning institutional operations, financial sustainability, healthcare innovation, and technology modernization.

He currently serves as Executive Director of the Organization of American States (OAS), where he oversees governance and operational integrity across General Services, Procurement and Management Oversight, Financial Services, Human Resources, Information and Technology Services, and the Chief Risk Office within a 35-member intergovernmental organization.

In his initial months in this role, Dr. Bogachek led a comprehensive institutional assessment and launched a strategic roadmap focused on revenue diversification, structural efficiency, and modernization of core systems. These measures are projected to unlock up to $51 million in diversified annual revenue and approximately $5.8 million in recurring structural savings, including approximately $2 million from restructuring the GS/OAS health plan while preserving core coverage, thereby strengthening transparency, accountability, and long-term organizational sustainability.

In addition to his public service, Dr. Bogachek serves as Chairman of the Board of VativoRx, providing governance oversight and strategic direction to a national rebate management and pharmacy benefit administration organization serving more than 1.4 million individuals across the United States. He is also the Founder of Cooperton, a cybersecurity and IT firm protecting over 60% of Puerto Rico’s hospital systems, and the Founder of PharmaLife, which pioneered Georgia’s first statewide electronic pharmacy health record system for the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Dr. Bogachek holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Bio-Engineering. He completed the Harvard Business School OPM Program in 2026 and has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, and Hebrew.

An active member of YPO and Ocean Reef Club, he remains committed to philanthropy through his family’s charitable foundation. Outside of work, he enjoys boating and skiing with his wife, Valeria, and their three children.
