RJC Abroad: 2025 Leadership Mission In Review
Dear Friends -- As this year’s RJC Leadership Mission comes to a close, I want to share some final thoughts after reflecting on this intense, powerful trip.
As it is written in the Vehi She’amda prayer said during the Passover seder: In every generation they rise up against us to destroy us. And the Holy One, blessed be He, delivers us from their hands.
From Auschwitz-Birkenau to the site of the Nova music festival massacre, we bore witness to some of the darkest moments in Jewish history–yet the resilience, strength, unity, and zest for life of our people is undeniable and unbreakable.
Today, we mark the first day of Jewish American Heritage Month and Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel’s 77th Independence Day, which serve as searing reminders of our ancestors’ legacies, and our responsibilities. At a time when the Jewish community is facing unprecedented levels of hate and Israel continues to fight for its very survival, it is clear that the work we do is more important and more impactful than ever before.
Our shared commitment to the mission of defending the Jewish people and our ancestral homeland has only gotten stronger. We have a sovereign state in our ancient home, protected by warriors with boundless courage, supported by a people with unyielding grit and determination. It is our sacred duty to stand with them, and the RJC will continue to do so.
Am Yisrael Chai.
Sincerely,
Norm Coleman
