RJC CEO Matt Brooks Addresses the Convention

What a night! The second night of the Republican National Convention had the theme "Make America Safe Once Again" and Republican Jewish Coalition CEO Matt Brooks was one of the keynote speakers of a stellar event.

We are so proud to represent the American Jewish community in the Republican Party and to give voice to the concerns, the strengths, and the values of the American Jewish community.

RJC CEO Matt Brooks' remarks touched on the two core issues for Jewish Americans right now: the US-Israel relationship and antisemitism in America.

Watch the video of his remarks here.

Matt Brooks told the Republican convention delegates:

This election is a critical moment for the American Jewish community and for Israel.

This is our chance to continue the incredible pro-Israel legacy of the most pro-Israel President in history, Donald J. Trump. President Trump - among his many accomplishments - they said it couldn’t be done: he moved the US embassy to Jerusalem; they said it couldn’t be done: he weakened the Iranian regime; and they said it couldn’t be done: he delivered the historic Abraham Accords—bringing us closer to peace in the Middle East!

With President Trump, we will repair and rebuild the US-Israel relationship after four disastrous years under President [Joe] Biden.

… My message to the Jewish community is clear: there is only one pro-Israel party, and it is the Republican Party!

Here at home, under Donald Trump, we will put a stop to the rising tide of antisemitism.

President Trump will bring back law and order so that American Jews can once again wear a kippah and walk the streets without fear. President Trump will stop the mobs on college campuses so Jewish students feel safe when they go to class.

Massive Media Coverage

The Jewish vote is an important story in every election – and never so important as this year. American Jews are walking away from the Democratic Party and there is a tremendous opportunity to bring more of them into the GOP than ever before.

That makes Matt Brooks' remarks to the Republican convention big news, and they got a lot of media attention. In addition, Matt has been doing interviews with news outlets to expand on his message. Here are some highlights:

Jerusalem Post: In a first, Republican Jewish Coalition CEO addresses RNC as Republicans vow to make US Jews safer
For decades, Brooks has been attending the quadrennial confabs where the party’s platform and presidential ticket are set. This year was the first time that organizers invited him to address the convention, in an indication of how intent Republicans and Donald Trump’s campaign are on seizing the mantle of which party better protects the Jews.

Times of Israel: RNC crowd erupts in cheers for Israel, as Jewish speaker draws contrast to Democrats

The crowd at the Republican National Convention erupts after Republican Jewish Coalition CEO Matt Brooks begins his speech by asking those who support Israel to cheer.

“If someone tried that at the Democrats’ convention, they’d be booed off the stage! But here at the Republican Convention, we proudly and loudly stand with Israel!” Brooks says to more cheers from the several thousand GOP members in the stands at the Fiserv Forum arena for the second night of the RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Haaretz: As Trump Taps America First VP, Top Jewish Republican Insists GOP Is the 'Only pro-Israel Party'
Republican Jewish Coalition CEO Matt Brooks addressed the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, offering the most significant plea toward American Jews to date on why they should defy decades of precedent and vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden.

...Speaking to Haaretz and other reporters after his speech, Brooks stressed this is the first time he can remember true insecurity among the Jewish community.

"This is a dangerous time for the for the Jewish community," he said. "People can trust [Trump] to take a firmer hand on cracking down on the chaos on the college campuses and really temper the rise of antisemitism and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Jewish community."

Breitbart: RJC’s Matt Brooks: Trump Will Stand with Israel, Stop the Antisemitic Mobs

Matt Brooks, the CEO of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), told the Republican National Convention Tuesday evening that Donald Trump would stand with Israel and stop the antisemitic “mob.”

Brooks spoke in a coveted prime-time slot in a year when Republicans are keen to emphasize Trump’s record of support for Israel, and his broader foreign policy success, with President Joe Biden’s failures in Israel and elsewhere.

Republicans hope to capitalize on growing discontent within the Jewish community about Biden’s perceived lack of support for Israel in its fight against terror — and his apparent tolerance of antisemitism on campuses and in cities.

Am Yisrael Chai!” [Brooks] concluded, using a Hebrew rallying cry that means “The people of Israel live.”
