RJC Endorses Joe Fraser for Senate, Rejects Royce White’s Antisemitism
Washington, DC – The Republican Jewish Coalition released the following statement endorsing Joe Fraser for U.S. Senate from Minnesota:
Minnesota has not elected a Republican Senator in more than 20 years and liberal incumbent Amy Klobuchar is no pushover. Control of the U.S. Senate is up for grabs and it’s essential that the GOP put forward the strongest possible candidates for every seat.
That’s why RJC is endorsing Joe Fraser for Senate in Minnesota’s August 13th GOP primary. Fraser has an exemplary record of service to our nation. For 26 years, he served in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence officer assessing the threats that America and our allies face.
Fraser has been forthright that as Senator, he will "always be a champion for the Jewish people and a supporter of the State of Israel." That would be a welcome change from Klobuchar, who has been a cheerleader for President Biden’s disgraceful campaign to undercut Israel’s war against Hamas.
Similarly, while Klobuchar proudly voted for the disastrous Obama nuclear deal with Iran, Fraser has pledged to stand strong against any efforts to revive that deal.
Royce White, Fraser’s opponent in this primary, could not be more different. Whereas Fraser’s integrity is beyond dispute, White carries the baggage of numerous personal scandals.
White is also an eager promoter of antisemitic conspiracy theories and an avid defender of egregious antisemites, including Stew Peters, Louis Farrakhan and Kanye West. He echoes the rhetoric of the Left’s antisemitic fanatics, describing Israel as "a country that takes our tax money to be ethno-national" in a comment made not long after Hamas’s October 7th attacks.
While Democrats - including Senator Klobuchar - have failed to take a clear stand against Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s antisemitism, we refuse to excuse or ignore antisemitism when it arises in our party. That’s why we will never support Royce White for Senate or any other position of public trust.
We call on Republican leaders to join our National Chairman, former Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman, in strong support of Joe Fraser’s candidacy and in making it clear that the GOP rejects antisemitism in any guise.
