RJC National Chairman and Executive Director Statement on Chairman Ed Royce’s Announced Retirement

Washington D.C. -- The Republican Jewish Coalition released statements from National Chairman Norm Coleman and Executive Director Matt Brooks tonight, to express the organization’s thanks and appreciation to Congressman Ed Royce on the announcement of his retirement at the end of his current term.

National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman said:

From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Ed for his two and a half decades of service to our great nation. His work as the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, in particular his dedication to issues around national security and our unbreakable bond with Israel, made him a true titan of the House and the Republican Party.

Executive Director Matt Brooks said:

Chairman Ed Royce is not only a great legislator, he has also been a great friend to the RJC and me. His tireless work in Congress, especially the work on foreign policy, national security, and Israel, has been second to none. After a quarter century of public service, we look forward to accomplishing even more with Congressman Royce over the next year, and we’re excited to see what he does next.
