Thank You, President Trump: One-Year Anniversary of Embassy Move to Jerusalem

The Republican Jewish Coalition released a statement today on the one-year anniversary of the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel.

RJC National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman said:

One year ago today, I had the immense honor and pleasure of attending the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel. Thousands of people gathered to see the fulfillment of a pledge made more than 20 years ago, when Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995.

Promises made; promises kept. The American people saw President Donald Trump keep his promises about Jerusalem and the embassy. The US has recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s chosen capital and the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 has been carried out in its entirety.

We thank President Trump for moving the embassy to Jerusalem and for all he has done to strengthen the US-Israel alliance.

Critics predicted that the embassy move would lead to violence and isolation, but they were wrong. President Trump’s pro-Israel policies have strengthened Israel and encouraged moderate Arab states to work with Israel for greater stability and peace in the region. Under President Trump, America is a strong and reliable ally and American leadership is a positive force in the Middle East.
