Yitz Applbaum

Isaac Applbaum is a Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Jerusalem for Public Private Partnerships and a venture capitalist with over 20 years experience in investing in early stage technology companies. He is a Founding General Partner of Opus Capital, an early stage venture fund with over $500mm under management, as well as an Advisor to SecureKey Technologies and to the Westly Group, a leading Clean Energy Venture Fund in Silicon Valley. Prior to Co-Founding Opus Capital, Isaac was a Partner and Managing Director for Israel at Lightspeed Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm with over two billion dollars under management.

Mr. Applbaum was the founder and CEO of Concorde Solutions Inc. (CSI) which he sold to Bank of America in 1998, becoming a Senior Vice President of the bank with responsibility for running the E-ventures group and an advisor to the strategic investments group.

Mr. Applbaum remains active in his community, currently serving as President of the Board of the California-Israel Chamber of Commerce. He sits on the Board of Directors of The Western Wall Heritage Foundation. The Koret Israel Economic Development Funds, the Shalem Institute, and the American Action Network. Mr. Applbaum is a member of the Young Presidents Organization.
